Car catches fire on Akshardham flyover, second incident in 4 days

The incident took place at 11.25 am.


A car caught fire on the flyover near Akshardham temple in East Delhi on Wednesday. Reports said the vehicle caught fire on the Akshardham flyover apparently due to a CNG leak inside the vehicle.

No one was injured in the fire. The incident took place around 11.25 am on Wednesday. 

Quoting fire brigade officials, a few media reports said two fire tenders were sent to the spot and the fire was brought under control soon. 

A few days ago, three people, including a woman and her two minor children, were burnt to death in a similar accident on the Akshardham flyover.
