Biker crashes into pavement grill, gets head blown off

In a grisly road accident that took place in the Delhi Cantt. area, a biker had his head blown off as his two-wheeler crashed into the roadside pavement grill.

Such was the impact of the crash that while the rider’s head ripped off his body and got stuck in the railings, the rest of his body was tossed in the air and landed at some distance away. The pillion rider too sustained severe injuries in the mishap.

Soon after getting the information, a police team arrived at the spot, picked up the pieces of the body, and sent them to a mortuary for post-mortem.

The badly injured pillion rider has been admitted to a hospital for treatment. A case has been registered at the Delhi Cantt police station and an investigation has been initiated into the matter.

A police official said that the deceased has been identified as Rajesh and the pillion rider as Sanjay. The deceased who hailed from Madhubani, Bihar, worked as a driver in a private company and lived with his friend Sanjay in Gurugram. His family, consisting of his wife and two children, lives in Bihar.

The injured (Sanjay) stated that the incident took place late on November 12 night, at around 11 pm, when he, along with Rajesh, was on his way to Noida.

According to Sanjay, Rajesh was not wearing a helmet and had earphones in his ears. He was driving the bike at a very high speed despite his objection. He said he also didn’t pay heed to his advice to wear a helmet.

As they reached Rao Tula Ram (RTR) flyover, Rajesh lost control of the bike and hit the pavement.
