Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislators on Tuesday charged bureaucrats for providing “false” and “incomplete” written answers to questions raised by them in the state Assembly during the ongoing Budget session.

During the question hour, AAP lawmakers brought three written questions to the notice of Speaker Ram Niwas Goel and sought action against a section of officers for not replying ” properly to questions.

The Speaker later forwarded the matter to the question and reference committee of the Assembly.

Of the three written questions, two were related to Food and Supplies Department and one to Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB).

Rakhi Birla, referring to a question asked by her, said the officer who gave the answer was “misleading” the Assembly by giving a “false” reply.

Saurabh Bharadwaj, referring to an answer to another Assembly question which was written by food commissioner KR Meena, claimed the answer was “incomplete” and urged that the matter be referred to question and reference committee.

Meanwhile, Amanatullah Khan objected to the presence of IAS officers in the House along with the chief secretary and sought a discussion on it.

Khan said IAS officers were adopting pressure tactics and if that continues, they would not be able to work.

Referring to the claim of Chief Secretary being assaulted inside CM’s house, Khan said he along with another AAP MLA was implicated in a “false’ case and had to spend 20 days in jail.
