Delhi BJP attacks Kejriwal over launch on AAP’s LS polls campaign

Delhi BJP Chief Virendra Sachdeva

Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Friday slammed Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal over the launch of party’s “Sansad mein bhi Kejriwal tabhi Delhi hogi Khushhal” campaign for upcoming Lok Sabha polls and called it humorous.

Reacting to the campaign launched by Kejriwal, Sachdeva said, “Sansad mein bhi Kejriwal tabhi Delhi hogi Khushhal (campaign) declared by Kejriwal is humorous.”

He asserted that the correct “punchline” for the Kejriwal government is ” 9 saal @arvindkaijriwal -loot, bhrashtaachaar, dillee badahaal-ye hai aap kee sachchaee (Delhi deteriorated due to Kejriwal’s nine years of plunder and corruption).”

Referring to the AAP and Congress alliance on seat-sharing for the general elections, the Delhi BJP chief said, “AAP having full power in Delhi, they are unable to muster the courage to contest elections on all seven seats of Delhi but are dreaming of sitting in Parliament.”

“A party that cannot contest elections on all seats is now dreaming of making Delhi prosperous by reaching Parliament. It is not fooling the people of Delhi but itself. Delhiites have given power not once but twice, but Chief Minister Kejriwal did not use it to make Delhiites happy but to enhance his own prosperity,” he said.

Accusing the AAP of misleading people, Sachdeva said, “Now the people of Delhi, Punjab, Goa, and Gujarat will reject Kejriwal in such a way that even the AAP’s national party status will be snatched away.”

In Delhi, as per the seat-sharing, the AAP will contest in four parliamentary constituencies and the Congress in three seats.

The Congress is yet to make an official announcement on the names of candidates.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, both the parties drew a blank.
