Punjab Congress president and Lok Sabha member from Gurdaspur, Sunil Jakhar on Sunday said his party will highlight the four years of failure of the Modi government in the monsoon session of Parliament, going to be started from 18th July.
In a statement on Sunday, Jakhar said that the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lost more than four years of its tenure and now the government has only six months to spare to work in the office, but the government of the ‘Jumlas’ (empty rhetoric) has done nothing to fulfill its election promises.
He said that in upcoming session of Parliament Congress will disclose all the failure of Modi government regarding to its promises made by it in its manifesto, a written document released by BJP before General Election in 2014.
Jakhar said that election manifesto is a holy document for any political party, and when any party comes to power it has to fulfill all these commitments during its tenure in the next five years, but the Modi government is badly failed to achieve its goals, decided by itself own, in its Manifesto.
He said that the government has virtually run away from the promises made with the farmers because this government has already accepted its failure by fixing the new deadline of 2022 for doubling the income of farmers.
The Congress leader said Modi government has not done anything on issues like area specific crops and vegetable farming scheme, agricultural rail link and price stability fund.
LokSabha member said that on the issue of black money, the BJP had made a lot of screaming before the elections. But after assuming the office, the Modi government has not done anything special on the issue of black money and it has failed to bring black money back to country.
He said that on said issue BJP Government had enforced demonetisation without proper planning in country which badly affects the economy but still it failed to un-earthen any black money. Talking about the Modi government’s one another poll promise of 20 million jobs every year, Jakhar said that NDA government did nothing and unemployment has increased many folds in last four years.
He said that youth are the capital of any country but this government has no role in providing employment to them. He said that BJP government has not done anything to change the employment offices in career centers as per its promise.
