Chief secy launches RCCMS for quick disposal of revenue cases

Online Revenue Court Case Monitoring System launched in Bhubaneswar.


In a major boost towards quick disposal of revenue cases at Tehasil and district levels, Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi launched the Online Revenue Court Case Monitoring System (RCCMS).

Padhi said, “Technology is the key to more transparency and good governance. It also enhances the accessibility of the people to the service delivering system.” He directed all the revenue officers to adopt more and more ITES for quick and accurate delivery of services.

He also inaugurated a booklet on e-Governance Initiatives taken by Revenue & Disaster Management Department. Principal Secretary of the department Dr Chandra Sekhar Kumar explained the basic objectives and modus operandi of these e-Governance modules.

Chief Secretary Sri Padhi visited the Project Monitoring Unit of the department and inspected the actual flow of work in online systems. Explaining the Online Revenue Court Case Monitoring System, Additional Secretary Sangram Mohapatra said that the officers dealing with revenue cases would do all the case related transaction through this online system.

The applicant can see the status of his case and final order by logging into the system through his user ID and pass word”. This will reduce the burden of running to Tehsils and other revenue offices and will also weed out vested interests.

Principal Secretary Dr Kumar asked all Sub-Collectors and Tehsildars to reconfigure and update the computers. Available data show, as of now e-registration has been made functional in 187 Sub- Registrar offices and more than 95 Tehsil offices are already having online mutation system. Gradually all Tehsils will have e-mutation with the increasing internet connectivity.
