Chief secretary holds discussion in G2B meet to enhance State’s trade relations in various sectors

Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi discussed with the entrepreneur delegates from Iran, Bangladesh, South Korea and Germany in a G2B meeting held here today on enhancing trade relations with Odisha in various sectors.

Additional Chief Secretary MSME Mr L N Gupta outlined the thematic areas of discussion.

The delegates appreciated the professional and fruitful management of the ongoing Odisha International MSME Fair. Mr Padhi said Odisha has great strength and potential for development of downstream units in aluminum, steel, handloom, apparel, marine and agricultural food processing sectors.

Basic infrastructure for inland trade, import and export has also been put in place.

He assured all facilitating support from the state government for setting up manufacturing and processing units in Odisha.

The main sectors in which the delegates expressed their interest included marine fish , poultry, handloom, food processing, super technology and software.

It was decided in the meeting that specific trade relations would be worked out in collaboration with various Industry Associations of Odisha within three days.
