Industries Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and Excise and Taxation Minister Prakash Chaudhary on Wednesday said wild allegations levelled by national Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesman Sambit Patra against Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh only reflected BJP’s frustration over a soaring graph of Singh’s popularity.
In a joint statement, the minister said having failed in their attempts to corner the CM, who enjoyed the overwhelming support of the people of the state, the BJP leaders were now inviting their central leaders for a personal attack on CM.
Taking a dig at BJP’s ‘Hisab Mange Himachal’ campaign of the BJP, the ministers said that first of all the Modi government should give ‘Hisab’ of their ‘Chunavi Jumle’ such as demonetisation, black money promise, Make in India, Lokpal, and ‘Ek Sir ke badle dus’ etc.
The ministers said the Reserve Bank of India’s annual report says that 99 per cent of the demonetisation currency was back with RBI, which means the Modi government propagated falsehood in the name of action against black money and people of the country were made to suffer badly.
He was silent on the issue of brutal murder of a child in famous school at Gurugram and mayhem created in Panchkula and Sirsa recently due to failure and inaction of the BJP government of the state. “Similarly, why the BJP leaders were silent over the death of hundreds of children in Gorakhpur hospital in Uttar Pradesh,” they said.
They said Patra should rather worry about the BJP ruled states, where scams worth Rupees thousands of crores have been reported.
