BJP credits govt for doubling pace of development

Bharatiya Janata Party b(BJP) on Sunday credited the Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur of doubling the pace of development in Himachal Pradesh and said the previous Congress government had pushed the state back on the development front.

State BJP spokesperson Randhir Sharma said the government had introduced 30 new schemes for the development of the state and concrete steps has been taken to resolve grievances of the general public.

“Thakur’s efforts had resulted in the Centre government approving projects worth Rs 4300 for the state,” he said.

Sharma said the projects had been approved for tourism, irrigation and water supply and horticulture sectors. “Besides this, Rs 943 crore had been approved for resolving the water crisis in the capital town of Shimla,” he said.

But the Congress leaders seem to have frustrated over the achievements of the government and levelling baseless allegations to mislead the general public.

The government is focusing on developmental works across the state and no government had performed so much better in its five months rule, he added.
