A solo art exhibition ‘Landscape of Consciousness’ by Anjali Misra was inaugurated at the Lalit Kala Akademi here in the presence of eminent artists on Wednesday.

The exhibition encapsulates a six-year journey in art-making during which the artist embraced abstraction as her primary genre within the visual arts. The exhibition showcases 57 artworks created between 2019 and 2024.

“As I navigate this journey of exploration and transformation, my art becomes less a declaration and more an unfolding-an organic process shaped by my experiences and observations of life. Through phases of growth, resistance, surrender, and transformation, my artworks transcend being mere external representations. They emerge as inner reflections, revealing the contours of my own awareness,” she said.

Misra said her work reflects an ongoing dialogue between thought and feeling, bridging the conscious, unconscious, and subconscious realms. Rather than presenting these mental states as conflicting forces, she harmonizes them, inviting viewers to reflect on their own inner landscapes and the fluidity of human perception.

The exhibition is open till January 13.
