Haryana Chief Secretary DS Dhesi on Thursday said the state government has prepared an action plan to provide houses to poor families in nine cities.
Detailed project reports of 10 cities have been prepared to provide houses at affordable prices to poor, he added at the 5th meeting of the State Level Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Housing for All Mission.
He said these reports would be sent to the Central government for approval.
The meeting was informed that approval has been given to the action plan of 56 out of 66 cities under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban.
Under the Yojana, 86,924 persons would be covered, of which loans would be provided to 9,413 people and houses constructed by developers would be provided to 50,002 persons in installments.
