AAP accuses Congress, SAD of communal politics in Punjab

Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly, Sukhpal Singh Khaira on Sunday lambasted Congress party as well as the ShiromaniAkali Dal (SAD) for indulging into communal politics and doing politics on the dead bodies of the people of Punjab.

In a statement, the AamAadmi Party (AAP) leader said that in view of the facts revealed in the primary police investigation in Maur bomb blast, the involvement of the Congress and SAD leaders have clearly come to the light.

He said that the investigation has revealed that the vehicle used in the bomb blast was modified in DeraSirsa and the whole exercise was done to defame the AAP and to misguide the people of state. The politically motivated allegations of the Congress and the SAD leaders on AAP after the blast show that it was pre-planned act to show the AAP as architect of blast with the help of hardliners, he added.

Legislator from Bholath constituency, Khaira said, “The Congress and Akali leaders have always tried to disturb the social fabric of state to gain cheap political mileage and the same policy was mischievously executed during the recently concluded Vidhan Sabha elections.
