5 nursing graduates selected to serve in Army

Five nursing graduates from a local nursing institute in Shimla has done Himachal Pradesh proud by being selected to serve in the Army.

They will be joining to serve as Lieutenant in the Army nursing on 26 February.

According to Shivalik Institute of Nursing Dr Shama Lohumi, “The girls have brought laurels to the institute, which has been recording hundred per cent placements over the last three years.”

The four graduates include Ruchi Dhiman, Rajni Sharma, Shiksha Rokha, Amita Chauhan, Poorva Parmar.

Ruchi Dhiman graduated from Shivalik Nursing institute in 2015 hails from village Kuther, Kangra. Having worked with the Max hospital New Delhi, she will now be joining the Command Hospital, Ambala.

Another alumnus of the College Shivalik Nursing college Rajni Sharma, who is also from 2015 batch is joining at Military Hospital Baraily.

Third batch nursing student Shiksha Rokha, working in the same institute will be joining Military Hospital Jodhpur.

Amita Chauhan daughter of an ex-Army man is from Anni in Kullu working in Military Nursing Services at Ahmedabad, will be joining at Command hospital, Chennai.

Poorva Parmar from Palampur working as a nursing lecturer in the Shivalik institute of Nursing will be Joining Army Hospital, Lucknow.
