Shah Rukh Khan declares himself unofficial Air India ambassador

Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan is impressed with the services of the national carrier, Air India, and on Sunday he declared himself its brand ambassador.

Shah Rukh took an Air India flight from New York to Mumbai and landed on Sunday, following which he was in all praise of the services and hospitality.

He tweeted, “Unofficially & Unabashedly I want to declare myself the ambassador of @airindiain India. Thank u to the ground staff and the wonderful pilots for a hospitable warm & beautiful journey…Maharaja, Maharaja hi hota hai…”.

Responding to the appreciation by SRK, Air India said it was humbled by King Khan’s words. Air India tweeted that it was always a pleasure for the ‘Maharaja’ to serve ‘King Khan’. The Air India tweet reads, “The Air India family is so happy to see your kind words of appreciation which are so encouraging for us. We are truly humbled when ‘King Khan’ is the brand ambassador for ‘Maharaja’.”


Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha too had retweeted Shah Rukh Khan’s praise of Air India.

As of now, Air India does not have an official brand ambassador.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will be next been in Anand L Rai’s Zero which stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. The film is slated to hit the theatres on December 21, 2018.
