Mercedes-Benz, the luxury automaker, has made sales history by attaining the highest ever sales in India for a calendar year. Mercedes-Benz has maintained its dominance in the nation’s luxury automobile market for eight years running thanks to its remarkable sales achievement.
Mercedes-Benz India had its “Best Year Ever” and “Best Ever Q4” in CY 2022, delivering 15, 822 brand-new vehicles to consumers during the January–December 2022 timeframe, representing a robust 41% Y-o-Y sales growth. (CY 2021: 11,242 +41%)
The GLA, GLC, GLE, and GLS SUVs, as well as the C-Class, E-Class, and S-Class limousines, were the key models in driving growth in 2022.
Mercedes-Benz maintained its strong sales performance each quarter, further increasing its market share in the Indian luxury auto segment. This was made possible by the successful introduction of new products, local assembly of the flagship products, such as the EQS, and the ongoing success of the “Retail of the Future” business model.
Mercedes-Benz India also started its product offensive by introducing the Mercedes-AMG E 53 4MATIC+ Cabriolet, the first Cabriolet in an AMG Avatar in India, in keeping with its 2023 slogan, “DESIRE for the Extraordinary.”

The Mercedes-AMG E 53 4MATIC+ Cabriolet features a 3.0 litre L6 Twin-scroll turbocharger engine; produces 520 Nm + 250 Nm torque and generates 320 + 16 kW (435 + 22 HP).
