Anand Mahindra shares emotional story of son-mother duo travelling across country on scooter; Wants to gift them a car

Anand Mahindra is known for being active on the social networking website, Twitter. In one such recent incident, Mahindra shared a story of a man who quit his job and travelled with his mother on his scooter for 48,100 kms.

The man, Dakshinmurthy Krishna Kumar—a native of Mysuru, left his job at a bank and decided to take his mother on a country tour, as she had never stepped out of her own town.

The story was initially shared by another Twitter user, Manoj Kumar and Mahindra retweeted it saying, “A beautiful story. About the love for a mother but also about the love for a country… Thank you for sharing this Manoj. If you can connect him to me, I’d like to personally gift him a Mahindra KUV 100 NXT so he can drive his mother in a car on their next journey.”

Under Dakshinmurthy’s Matru Sewa Sankalp Yatra, the duo has already travelled across 20 states including, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, West Bengal, Sikkim and Tamil Nadu. The mother-son duo has also travelled to Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmar with his mother on their scooter.

The story followed by Mahindra’s retweet stolen the hearts of the netizens. People across the social networking platform is lauding efforts of a son.
