The results of the Uttar Pradesh Board examination for Class 10 and Class 12 were announced on Sunday, 29 April.
Rajneesh Shukla and Akash Maurya topped the Class 12 board examinations scoring 93.20 per cent marks each. Allahabad’s Anjali Varma was the Class 10 topper from the state. She scored 96.33 per cent.
A total of 66,37,018 students registered for the examinations for the two classes but a record 11 lakh did not appear following strict rules imposed by the Board.
The pass percentage of Class 10 is 75.16 per cent and that of Class 12 is 72.43 per cent.
Conducted by the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, or Madhyamik Siksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh, 36,55,691 registered for Class 10 and a total of 29,81,327 registered for Class 12.
The Class 12 board examinations were conducted from 6-14 February 2018.
