The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has extended the last date for SSC CGL online application to 19 June, 2017. Aspirants can now apply for the SSC CGL exam till 5 pm on exam’s official website – ssc.nic.in.
As per the earlier SSC notification, SSC CGL 2017 application process was supposed to end today, i.e 16 June. According to the latest SSC notification, the date has been extended to accommodate applicants who might have failed to register for SSC CGL 2017 due to technical problems in the online registration system.
Further, SSC has also extended the date of making payments through challan to 21 June. However, only those applicants who would have filled the SSC CGL 2017 application forms and generated the challans by 5 p.m. on 19 June are eligible to make payment. Payments have to be made at designated branches of the State Bank of India. The application fee is Rs. 100. However, Women candidates, SC, ST and Physically Handicapped candidates as well as Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are not required to pay the application fee for SSC CGL 2017.
SSC will conduct the SSC CGL 2017 exam for Tier1 from 1 Aug to 20 August 2017. It is held for recruitment to different Grade B and C posts in different Government ministries and departments.
