India’s largest public sector bank, the State Bank of India or SBI will conduct its mains exam for probationary officers (PO) on 4 August 2018.
Preliminary examination was held in the month of July which was of qualifying nature.
The mains exam is divided into two parts, objective and subjective. The objective exam will have 190 questions carrying a total of 200 marks.
The total duration of the examination will be 2 hours and 45 minutes.

SBI PO Mains 2018 subjective exam
The subjective exam will be of 50 marks and will test the candidates’ knowledge of English language. They will be required to write a letter and an essay in 30 minutes. The descriptive test of only those students will be evaluated who have qualified the objective paper.
SBI PO Mains 2018 examination results
· Results for the mains examination will be announced on 20 August 2018.
· For every wrong answer, marks equal to one fourth of the assigned marks to that question will be deducted.
· There will be no sectional cutoff.
On the basis of the marks obtained by the applicants, cutoffs will be decided for each category and applicants will be called for group discussion and interview.
