The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra has announced that it would be giving five bonus marks for four wrong questions in the MHT CET 2017 question paper. The provisional result for MHT CET 2017 was declared on 4 June.

The four wrong questions in the paper, which were observed by subject experts, have been declared non –evaluative or invalid by DTE. Of the four questions, three carry one mark and one carries two marks, taking the total to five marks.

DTE has, however, decided not to reduce the maximum marks from 200 to 195 and would be instead offering 5 marks bonus to all students who appeared in MHT CET 2017. This means that the maximum marks for the same would be 200 as before.

Also, since the four questions have been made non-evaluative, candidates opting for verification will find the answer in ‘*’ in the printout of the responses.

The MHT CET 2017 was conducted by DTE Maharashtra on 11 May. The exam facilitates entry to engineering programmes at the undergraduate level across the state.
