The result of senior secondary examinations conducted by the Haryana Board of School Education, Bhiwani, in March 2018 is 63.84 per cent and that of private students is 47.44 per cent.

For the first time, the Board has decided to keep the certificates and result of students in DigiLocker which could be downloaded from Board’s website when needed. This would facilitate students in getting admission to next classes.

The result was declared jointly by Chairman of the Board, Dr Jagbir Singh and Secretary  Dhirendra Khadgata at a press conference organised at the Board’s office in Hisar on Friday. As many as 72.38 per cent girls and 57.10 per cent boys have passed the examination.

Dr Singh said that the students can check their result after 5 pm on May 18 at website www.bseh.org.in and www.indiaresults.com. He said that results can also be checked on mobile app developed by the Board which could be downloaded from Google Play Store by searching “Education Board Bhiwani Haryana”.

He said that the first position in all three streams has been bagged by Naveen of Holy Child Senior Secondary School, Surya Nagar, Hisar and Heena of Government Senior Secondary School, Patel Nagar, Hisar. Similarly, the second position was bagged by Sweetie of Galaxy Senior Secondary School, Bawania, Mahendragarh; Gurmeet of MD Girls School, Narwana, Jind and third position was bagged by Nishu of Government Senior Secondary School for Girls, Nagura, Jind.

The Board Chairman said that 2,22,388 students had appeared in the senior secondary examination of which 1,41,973 students have passed, 49,163 have got compartments and 31,252 students have failed. A total of 1,24,242 boys had appeared in the examination of which 70,936 have passed and of 98,146 girls, 71,037 have passed.

Singh said that the pass percentage of government schools was 63.62 and that of private schools was 64.06. The pass percentage of students from rural areas was 64.75 whereas it was 62.04 in case of students from urban areas. The result of private students was 47.44. As many as 19,076 such students had appeared in the examination of which 9,049 have passed.

Khadgata said that students can download their result using their ID and Password. If any school does not display result on time then the school would be responsible for that, he added.

He said that on the basis of the result, those students who wish to apply for re-checking of their answer sheets can apply online with prescribed fee within 20 days from the date of declaration of result. The fee of re-checking would be Rs 800 for candidates belonging to BPL category and Rs 1,000 for candidates belonging to general category.

The Board Secretary said that on the basis of result, the private candidates can register for supplementary examination to be held in July 2018 along with fee of Rs 700 from May 25 to June 13. The registration with late fee of Rs 100 would be available from June 14 to 18.

Similarly, the registration with late fee of Rs 300 would be available from June 19 to 23, and with late fee of Rs 1,000 would be available from June 24 to 30, he added.
