Astate campaign on sexual assault against children was recently launched in co-operation with World Vision in the gracious presence of Chief Guest -Ananya Chakraborti, Chairperson West Bengal Commission for Protection of Child Rights, GoWB and guests of Honour.

With the commencement of the event, World Vision India- MCI Team displayed short documentaries on ‘End Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children’. The guests were felicitated and summoned to light the lamp and launch the campaign programme. Mr Mohan Kumar Singh, Senior Manager, Guwahati PMO demonstrated the highlights of the campaign.

Children lieutenants were invited to present their prospects and aspects on ending child sexual offense and exploitation. They shared their raw life experiences of being similarly victimised. The chief guest and the guests of honour formally launched the campaign – “It takes all of us to End Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children”.

A pledge was also taken to inhibit Child Sexual Harassment by all the attendees. The chief guest as well as the other personalities present there, through their speeches, anecdotes, panel discussions and question and answer sessions tried to create awareness about the POCSO ACT (Protection of Children From Sexual Offenses), PCMA (Prevention of Child Marriages Act), JUVENILE JUSTICE (Care and Protection of Children) and other judiciary and administrative system in place to help and protect against Child Sexual Abuse.
