Tangra murders: Child rights members meet child in hospital


The minor boy, who had escaped along with his other two family members in the car crash incident on EM Byepass and undergoing treatment at NRS Hospital, today shared more facts on the alleged murder of her mother, aunt and sister by sharing details to the chairperson of Commission for Protection of Child Rights.

He claimed that his uncle, Prausn De, was the killer, who had allegedly murdered his mother, aunt and his sister.

Pratip De, son of the eldest brother Pranoy De, told Ananya Chakraborty the Commission chief that his uncle Prasun De killed them after they disagreed to commit suicide by eating spurious payesh (sweet dish), which all the members had eaten.

He even told Mrs Chakraborty that an attempt was also made to kill him allegedly by smothering him to death but due to his resistance power he survived.

He came to know that the business of his father and uncle had taken a nosedive and incurred losses. The boy also shared that he had thought of supporting his family by earning from chess, which he is good at. He told the Commission members that the other members of the family had decided to first jump to death but altered their plans by consuming a spurious sweet dish to end their life.
