Finally, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) probing alleged recruitment scam in West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) took Sujay Krishna Bhadra, an accused in the case who is in the custody of the central agency, to the Central Government-run ESIC Medical College Hospital on Wednesday night from the state government SSKM Hospital where he has been undergoing treatment for the past three months.
A team of doctors and forensic science experts of the ESIC Medical College Hospital will collect voice samples of Sujay Krishna to find out whether they match with the recorded samples in audio clips available in his mobile phones. The entire process would be conducted in a soundproof room at the hospital run by the labour ministry.
With the directive of the High Court, a team ED officials along with central government security personnel reached SSKM Hospital’s cardiology department this evening and took Sujay Krishna to the ESIC Hospital around 10 pm in a specialised ambulance.
He might be brought back to the SSKM Hospital again after the completion of the voice sample test. The entire process may take two hours. He was arrested by the ED more than five months ago on the charge of his alleged involvement in the irregular recruitment of teachers in schools. He had undergone an open heart surgery in a private hospital after his arrest.
He was sent to the Presidency Correctional Home from the hospital and then admitted to the SSKM Hospital after he fell ill again.
