Portal to address flyers’ concerns

Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate, in association with Caring Minds and Indian Chamber of Commerce has public grievances has installed a public grievances redress portal in Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. Two touch screens have been installed, a kiosk each has come up at the departure and arrival levels and can be accessed through Gate 3C of the terminal. Any grievance relating to the airport security and safety of passengers will be addressed by the police through the portal.

The passengers can fill in the details and it will be sent to the mail id of DCP airport division to address the problems. Professor Saugata Roy, chairman of the Airport Authority Advisory Committee inaugurated the two kiosks. Mr Gaurav Sharma, commissioner of police, Bidhannagar Commissionerate, Pattabhi C, airport director and Minu Budhia, director Caring Minds, were present at the inaugural function.

“These are passengerfriendly kiosks. Often passengers do not have the time to go to the police station to file a complaint. These kiosks will be of help in such cases,” said Mrs Budhia.
