The Siliguri Metropolitan Police arrested four persons with hundreds of ATM cards in their possession and produced them before the Court today.
Arrested four persons were detained by the CISF during security checking at Bagdogra Airport and handed them over to the police, after interrogation.
The CISF officials decided to detain them after they noticed that four persons were carrying hundreds of ATM cards. The security personnel asked them to hand over ATM cards from their bags.
As four youths, identified as Irfan Ahmed, Naeem Alvi, Mohammad Raja, Gaurav Sarai, failed to explain the exact reason behind carrying a huge number of ATM cards, the CISF officials handed them over to the police.
Sources said all of them were residents of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh. They, allegedly involved in fraudulent activities, came from Purnia in Bihar and planned to go to Delhi by air via Bagdogra, police said.
The Siliguri Metropolitan Police officials have started investigating the incident after a thorough interrogation.
