A day after Trinamul Congress leader Kunal Ghosh resigned from all party posts on Friday, he intensified his attacks slamming Sudip Bandopadhyay, party MP from North Kolkata on Saturday.

Mr Ghosh on his X handle today made serious allegations against the veteran MP.

Mr Ghosh raised questions saying, “Who paid medical bills for Sudip Bandopadhyay, when he was admitted at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. He fell ill and was taken to the hospital after he was arrested in connection with Saradha chit fund scam?”

“An inquiry should be conducted by the ED (Enforcement Directorate) and CBI to probe it. His bank account should also be checked,” he wrote on his handle X handle.

On Friday, he resigned from the posts of party spokesperson and state general secretary, and slammed a section of old guards for being hand-in-glove with the BJP.

He also said on Friday that he is a misfit within the system, but rubbished rumours of him joining any other party.

“I don’t want to stay in the post of state general secretary and spokesperson. I am a misfit in the system. I am unable to continue like this. I am a soldier of the party and will continue to work for the party. Please stop this rumour that I am planning to join another party,” he had posted on his social media.

Mr Bandopadhyay was not available for comment.
