Terming chief minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar as a chameleon, the Congress leader Jairam Ramesh today said Mr Kumar was a betrayer. “Nitish Kumar was trapped by the BJP to demoralise the INDIA alliance since the Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will enter into Bihar territory tomorrow,” Mr Ramesh said, adding, “I was not surprised.

But I don’t know the exact reason behind Nitish Kumar’s decision and his motive to quit INDIA alliance as he had called the first meeting in Patna to unite opposition political parties against the BJP.” “I think it’s a drama of Nitish Kumar scripted by the BJP since the Nyay Yatra will enter into Bihar territory tomorrow,” Mr Ramesh added. When asked to comment, the Congress leader Mr Ramesh said: “Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee is an important leader in INDIA alliance.

Despite remarks of a section of leaders of both the parties we are united. Our aim is to take on the RSS and the BJP in India. Mamata Banerjee’s main motto is also to beat the RSS and the BJP. As a result there is no question of difference of opinion on the issue of protection Indian Constitution and to save India.” “Being a Chief Minister she can move any where. She is coming to North Bengal just to survey.

Besides she has lot of important official jobs with district administration. Mamata ji is a key leader to lead INDIA alliance,” he said. Notably, the Trinamul Congress has put up huge cutouts of Mamata Banerjee with a caption ‘Didi herself enough and 100 percent competent to beat the BJP’, on either side of the routes of Rahul Gandhi in Siliguri today. According to Jairam Ramesh, the Nyay Yatra will enter Kishanganj in Bihar from North Dinajpur tomorrow.

The Yatra will return to Malda on 31 January and will move to Murshidabad and Birbhum. The Yatra will enter Jharkhand area from Birbhum.
