Passengers at Malda can now avail direct rail connectivity to Punjab. The railways has extended the stoppages of Malda Town – Delhi – Malda Town Farakka Express has up to Bhatinda.
According to the Eastern Railway, 13413 Malda Town – Bhatinda Farakka Express via Sultanpur (tri-weekly) is to leave Malda Town at 7.35pm on every Monday, Thursday and Saturday to arrive Bhatinda at 11.15am on the third day whereas 13483 Malda Town – Bhatinda Farakka Express Via Ayodhya Dham (4 days a week) will leave Malda Town at 7.35pm on every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and arrive Bhatinda at 10am on the third day. During the return journey, 13414 Bhatinda – Malda Town Farakka Express (via Sultanpur) would leave Bhatinda at 3 pm on every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday to reach Malda Town at 6.50am on the third day while 13484 Bhatinda – Malda Town Farakka Express (via Ayodhya) leaving Bhatinda on every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 4.25pm will arrive Malda Town at 6.50am on the third day.
