Kolkata is going to witness dry and sultry weather with very low chances of rainfall for the next two days, said the regional meteorological centre.
With very little or no chances of rainfall in the coming days, the temperature is expected to shoot up further. According to the weather officials, monsoon showers have been delayed till the first week of July.
The sky is expected to be partly cloudy. The maximum recorded temperature in the city was 36.1 degree Celsius while the minimum stood at 28.9 degree Celsius.
The temperature is expected to range between around 36.2 degree Celsius and 28.9 degree Celsius, as per the forecast. With sweltering conditions prevailing for a few more days, humidity is likely to range between 92 per cent to 57 per cent.
The hot and humid weather has become a menace and made it uncomfortable for the pedestrians as it has become difficult to stay outdoors for any amount of time.
While most parts of West Bengal have been witnessing little or no rainfall, CoochBehar on the other hand, has been experiencing heavy to moderate amount of rainfall since the past 24 hours with total rain accumulation of 29.7 mm.
