Didikebolchi: Congress response to Didi ke bolo

In retaliation to the Trinamul Congress’ Didi ke Bolo initiative to connect to the people, PCC chief Somen Mitra launched #DidiKeBolchi at the state party headquarters Bidhan Bhavan today. Besides putting questions to chief minister Mamata Banerjee which asked whether the Congress party offices “captured” by Trinamul will be returned to their original occupants, a slew of queries intended to catch the ruling party leadership on the wrong foot are part of the questionnaire.

Congress party activists all over the state have been requested to place whatever question they want answered by the chief minister on the website, the PCC chief said during the day. “We want to keep the questions and answers on record, which necessitated our own website,” he said.

It would also be on record when the chief minister does not reply to some of the questions, the PCC chief said. Had such questions been placed on the Trinamul website the possibility of their existence, being denied cannot be ruled out, he added.

The questions raised include a query whether the chief minister will own up the sin of engineering defection of Congress MLAs and taking over municipalities and panchayats run by her former party.

As the questionnaire grows, more sting is added to its content, as another query is whether Congress activists framed in false cases will be released. Will the chief minister acknowledge her sin of bringing BJP to the state, it was also asked.

‘Cut money’ issue makes its presence felt in the questionnaire, which asks whether the recipients of cut money in the TMC will be arrested. The CM is also asked whether exemplary punishment will be meted out to those who have manhandled doctors, police personnel and administrative officials.
