Trinamool Congress national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee while campaigning for Tripura by-election today urged the voters to vote for Trinamool Congress.

“You have voted for Congress, have seen CPM rule for 25 years and the double-engine government of BJP for the past four years but no development has been there. Healthcare infrastructure is in shambles. In the “duare gunda” model of Tripura, people can’t even cast their vote peacefully. This is not a TMC-BJP battle, this is a battle between the people of Tripura and the BJP. Trinamul Congress stands by its people.

“On 23 June, we have to defeat the BJP. You have to go out and cast your vote. Don’t feel afraid of BJP’s goons,” he urged.

Within six-seven months, a new government will be formed in Tripura. That won’t be the “duare gunda” government, but the “duare sarkar” model of governance. BJP’s bike bahini is threatening people. Don’t feel afraid of goons. Within six-seven months, a new government will be formed in Tripura. That won’t be the “duare gunda” government, but the “Duare Sarkar” model of governance.
