Indian Constitution is a guide to the whole world: LS Speaker Om Birla
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Saturday said that the Indian Constitution is the guide to the whole world and "we are proud of our Constitution".
Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, organisational changes have been brought about in the district TMC minority cell today. Syed Mohammed Afroz, the district president of TMC minority cell in West Burdwan district has been replaced with S M Hasan (Monu). Syed Mohammed Afroz has been made the general secretary of TMC minority cell state committee.
Since the formation of the present government in the state, Syed Afroz has been the district president, while S M Hasan joined the Trinamul Congress from the CPM a few years ago. Sources said the move comes with an eye on the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
There has been changes in Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling (plains), Darjeeling (hills), North Dinajpur, South Dinajpur, Malda, Murshidabad – Berhampore, Murshidabad – Jangipur, Burbum, East Burdwan, West Burdwan, Bishnupur, Bankura, Purulia, Jhargram, East Midnapore – Tamluk, East Midnapore- Contai, West Midnapore – Ghatal. In some districts the vice-presidents have also been changed along with the presidents.
