Bhumi Pednekar: Became an actor in a time where the way I looked was secondary

Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar are all geared up for their upcoming film, Saand Ki Aankh. After dropping the intriguing trailer, both the actresses often tease their fans with alluring pictures form the set of the films. After teasing the fans with “Udta Teetar” song, the makers of Saand Ki Aankh have released a new song.
Titled “Womaniya“, the song features the characters of Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar in their youth, as the film focuses on their octogenarian rolesas professional sharpshooters. The song has been filmed against a vibrant and colourful backdrop with the actors matching footsteps, playing dhols, twirling around in their ghagras. They seems to be absolutely carefree, celebrating womanhood in all its glory.

Helmed by Tushar Hiranandani, Saand Ki Aankh depicts the heroic story of world’s oldest sharpshooters — Chandro and Prakashi Tomar.
Apart from Taapsee and Bhumi, Saand Ki Aankh also features director Prakash Jha and Mukkabaaz actor Vineet Singh in pivotal roles. Set in the hinterland of Uttar Pradesh, the film went on floors in Meerut in February. Originally titled “Womaniya”, the film was renamed Saand Ki Aankh, following a title rights dispute.
The film is directed by Tushar Hiranandani and is produced by Anurag Kashyap, Reliance Entertainment and Nidhi Parmar and will hit the screens this Diwali.
