Rafael Nadal just needs to conquer one more opponent in order to clinch his twelfth French Open title after a 6-3 6-4 6-2 semi-final win over his long-time rival Roger Federer.

Although there were strong winds blowing which prevented the exciting contest to reach a different level altogether, there were some amazing moments in the contest which kept the Philippe-Chatrier crowd engaged and at the edge of their seats.

The Spaniard broke the Swiss superstar a number of times during the match, but the most crucial ones were the second and ninth games of the second set that helped Nadal double his advantage over Federer.

When Federer was expected to make a comeback, Nadal broke twice again in the third set to complete this famous win.

Nadal will play the winner between Novak Djokovic and Dominic Thiem on Sunday in the finals.
Interestingly, Djokovic already has the other three Grand Slams of the year to his name and if he enters the finals of the French Open yet again, he would hope to hold all the four Grand Slam titles of the year.
