Pakistan’s ANF arrests 10 suspects in drug smuggling operations
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) of Pakistan arrested 10 individuals involved in drug smuggling in operations across the country, said a statement.
Accompanied by Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, Army Commander, Northern Command, General Rawat visited the Nagoya based White Knight Corps to review the operational preparedness of the forces in the Corps Zone in view of the current situation along LoC and International Border.
Army chief General Bipin Rawat, on Saturday, asked the soldiers to be prepared for effectively meeting current emerging security challenges on the Line of Control (LOC) where Pakistan was shelling mortars at civilian areas and Army positions.
He exhorted all soldiers to remain vigilant to counter the designs of the enemy.
General Rawat arrived here on Saturday morning to review the security situation along the LOC where Pakistan troops have been targeting civilian areas and positions of the Indian Army. He appreciated the preparedness and the high morale of the White Knight Corps that takes care of the LOC.

During the visit to the Corps Headquarters, the Army chief was briefed and updated by Lt General Paramjit Singh, GOC, White Knight Corps, about the current operational situation, prevailing security scenario and the preparedness of the formation.
He was also briefed on the actions taken to meet the challenges of the increased ceasefire violations and measures put in place to meet the challenges from the Pakistan side.
The Army chief was also briefed on the measures reinforced in the hinterland in the area of responsibility towards ensuring peace and stability. The COAS commended all soldiers for their unwavering dedication to duty, selfless devotion and high standards of professionalism.
He was appreciative of the measures and standard operating procedures instituted by the units and formations in the Corps Zone to minimise the casualties due to ceasefire violations and infiltration bids.
