Chhath Puja 2018: Chhath Puja is one of the ancient festivals celebrated in the North Indian states of Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh and parts of Nepal.
Chhath Puja 2018: Chhath Puja is one of the ancient festivals celebrated in the North Indian states of Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh and parts of Nepal. The four-day religious festival is dedicated to the worship of Sun God and his wife Chhathi Maiya, and takes place in the month of Kartik, which usually coincides with the Gregorian calendar month of October or November.
Chhath Puja begins four days after Diwali. This year, the festival is beginning with the Nahay-Khay ritual on November 11, which will be followed by Lohanda and Kharna on 12 November, Sandhya Argh on 13 November and Usha Argh and Paaran on 14 November.
