The Supreme Court grants anticipatory bail to Malayalam actor Siddique in a rape case, subject to conditions, amid controversy over delayed FIR and ongoing investigation.
But Arjun Sarja and Sruthi Hariharan remained adamant on their stand and the KFCC could not arrive at any compromise.
Days after Kannada actor Sruthi Hariharan accused south Indian multi-lingual actor Arjun Sarja of behaving in an “unprofessional” manner, the latter has filed a Rs 5 crore defamation suit against her. Arjun Sarja’s manager Shivarjun too lodged a complaint against the actress at the Cyber Crime police station on Thursday.
In a Facebook post on October 19, Nibunan actress Sruthi said Arjun made her feel uncomfortable on the sets of their film. The actress got support from the film industry but several others questioned the timing of her allegation.

The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) had offered to intervene and resolve the issue but failed as the two stuck to their respective stands. Arjun and Sruthi came to KFCC where senior filmmaker Ambarish, Sa Ra Govindu, Congress MLA and filmmakers Munirathna and KFCC president Chinne Gowda were present. But the two remained adamant on their stand and the KFCC could not arrive at any compromise.
“There is no question of compromise because the pain is intense. Not only me, but my family, friends and above all, my fans in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu are deeply hurt. I don’t want others to be sacrificed like this. Hence, we have gone to court. You will come to know in the coming days who are behind this campaign against me,” Sarja told DNA after a meeting with KFCC members.
