Tushar was found unconscious in the washroom of his school by fellow students on Thursday afternoon. The school authorities informed his family about the incident and he was taken to a nearby hospital. Later, he was referred to GTB Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
According to a senior police officer, a PCR call was made from the GTB hospital that “a minor boy died in a mysterious condition”.
During their preliminary investigation, the police examined the school’s CCTV footage in which four students were reportedly found thrashing Tushar around Thursday noon. The police have registered a murder case under Section 302 of the IPC against the accused at Khajuri Khas police station.
The police officer said, “Investigation revealed that the students had an argument over their dominance in class. The argument turned into scuffle when the accused kids found Tushar alone in the washroom.”
The school authorities apparently claimed that Tushar was unwell and died in hospital.
