Shahid Kapoor winks at camera as he’s all ‘coffeefied’ and ‘Goafied’
Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor has charged up himself by having his hot cuppa Joe during his time off in Goa.
Sometimes Freedom of Speech indeed sparks a controversy and no one can tell that better than actor Swara Bhaskar, whose recent letter about Padmaavat has irked the who’s who of the tinsel town.
This time it’s B-Town’s glamorous diva Raveena Tandon who has slammed the Ranjhanna actor, for her letter to the makers of Padmaavat, which is also infamously referred as ‘felt reduced to a vagina’.
The controversy started back when the actor decided to write a letter to the makers of the film after watching the film and criticise the film for glorifying Jauhar (self-immolation), which was the climax of the film, a practice done by the Rajput women in order to avoid capture from men.

Swara Bhaskar’s open letter for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’ got all eyebrows raised and sparked a controversy for her statements during such a crucial time when the entire industry is standing by the film in its support.
Actor Raveena Tandon, who was considered one of the most popular actors of the 90s, recently slammed the actor in one of her tweets by defending the film and its content in a sarcastic yet effective way.

Well Raveena is not the only one who has raised her voice in support of the film as Padmaavat writers also retailed to the actor’s letter by saying “Feminism is about taking a stand. Taking a decision and standing by it,” (sic).
One of the lead actors of the film Shahid Kapoor, who plays Rawal Ratan Singh in the film, also believes that though she has the Freedom of Speech her statement about the film is ‘odd’.
“It has been a tough battle for us to be able to bring forth the film to the audience. It feels great to receive support from the entire industry but it feels odd that someone said something on a personal level. That’s OK though as everyone has the right to say what they want but I haven’t read it yet,” Shahid on Swara’s recent remarks about the film.
Swara just might be surprise to see the controversy her recent statements has landed her in a situation where the film is already surrounded by fringe group’s protests and demands for a nationwide ban on the film.
