Mumbai-Gorakhpur Antodaya Express derails; no casualty reported
The second last coach of the train, on its way to Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, derailed around 3.50 am.
Three persons were killed and nine injured when 13 coaches of Vasco Da Gama-Patna express derailed near Manikpur railway station in Uttar Pradesh in the wee hours of Friday.
The Patna-bound train derailed at 4:18 am near Manikpur railway station in Chitrakoot district of Uttar Pradesh.
“The injured have been rushed to the hospital and officials have left for the spot. Relief operations are underway,” North Central Railway PRO Amit Malviya said, according to media reports. He said that a medical train has reached the spot and by 5:20 am. The injured passengers have been shifted to Karvi hospital for treatment.

According to reports, two victims have been identified as Ram Swarup and his son Dipak Patel, both residents of Betia.
Earlier on Thursday, a bolero had collided with a passenger train near Lucknow killing four and injuring two.
