“Advising patients with CKD to drink more caffeine may reduce their mortality. This would represent a simple, clinically beneficial, and inexpensive option,” Miguel Bigotte Vieira from Centro Hospitalar Lisboa Norte, Portugal, said.

Rich in free radical-combating antioxidants, drinking green coffee is said to help treat bacterial infections and promotes better detoxification of harmful matters in the body.
Drinking more coffee helps in reducing liver damage that is caused by over indulging in food and alcohol. Researchers estimated one cup a day lowers the risk of ‘cirrhosis’ by 22 per cent, but it declined 57 per cent for three cups.
