DRI apprehends Liberian national with cocaine worth Rs 35 crore
The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has apprehended a Liberian national who arrived from Sierra Leone at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai on Friday.
Three persons who had abducted three women for trafficking were arrested here and the victims released, police said on Sunday.
During a campaign launched to stop trafficking of women, a team of policemen nabbed three suspects near Dabur India factory in Kaushambi area, said a police officer, adding that during questioning, the trio confessed they had abducted three women, who would be taken to a far-off area and be sold to brothels.
The three identified themselves as Mukeem, of Delhi's Turkman Gate area, Vikas Gupta of Ghazipur and Minku of Bahraich, both in Uttar Pradesh.

On the information obtained from them, police rescued the three girls whom they had kept in their hideouts places in Delhi and NCR.
"We had constituted team of good officers to work out such pending cases and to suggest preventive measures. The team have shown good results due to which three victims were rescued. Other preventive measures are underway to stop such happenings in future" said Superintendent of Police, City, Akash Tomar.
