UP Elections 2017: Over 40% polling till 2 pm

Over 40% per cent of voters exercised their franchise till 2 pm during the fifth phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh on Monday.

“"Over 40 per cent polling was recorded till 2 pm" reports stated.

The polling, under Phase-V, is happening in Balrampur, Gonda, Faizabad, Bahraich, Shravasti, Basti, Siddharth Nagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, Amethi and Sultanpur districts.

Meanwhile, due to the death of Samajwadi Party candidate Chandrashekhar Kanaujia in Alapur (Ambedkar Nagar), the Election Commmion (EC) has announced fresh date of voting in this constituency on March 9.
