Real Madrid, coached by Zinedine Zidane, recorded their fourth consecutive victory in LaLiga as they beat SD Eibar 3-0, here on Sunday.

The Zinedine Zidane team didn’t look back after Pablo Oliveira’s own goal put them ahead after 18 minutes. Thereafter, Marcos Asensio doubled Madrid’s lead after 28 minutes and the home side made it 3-0, as Marcelo netted Madrid’s 3rd with 10 minutes remaining.

Marco Asensio said after the match that he was happy with the game and the way his team played. “We controlled all phases of the match and created a lot of chances. The result didn’t flatter us. There were some flaws, but we performed well. We have to continue in this vein and now start to think about the Copa del Rey,” said Asensio, according to Real Madrid’s official website.

Meanwhile, Zinedine Zidane too seemed quite pleased by his team’s performance. He said at the press conference that though they lacked a bit of fluency, the most important thing for his team was to score goals and keep a clean sheet. “We created a lot of chances and we can be happy with everyone’s performance,” said Zidane, according to club’s official website.

Praising Karim Benzema, Zidane said, “He didn’t score, but the he started the move around the halfway line. It was a nice move for anyone who likes football. They’re never going to stop arguing about him. He’s very good and that’s that. He showed his quality in the half an hour he got today.”

Talking about Cristiano Ronaldo, the Real Madrid coach said, “Cristiano is the best player of his generation by some way. He always performs in the big games and is a difference-maker. All of the awards he’s won, and those he’ll get in the future, are well deserved.”
