Premier League clubs approve changes to associated party transaction rules
The proposed changes came into play after an independent tribunal found some aspects of the APT rules to be unlawful following Manchester City’s lawsuit.
Mata proves he can be a genius off the pitch as well!
It seems Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata can do no wrong. Not only is the Spaniard fluent in English and Spanish (he maintains a blog as well), involved in a charity (Common Goal) but he’s got a funny bone as well and Red Devils fans were loving his latest post on Instagram with compatriot David de Gea.
The quote he is referring to, “Find someone who looks at you the way xxx does” has gone viral since the tagline can be applied to thousands of real and reel-life instances (movies, tv shows as well).
De Gea, who has been at United since 2011, has steadily evolved into one of the finest shot-stoppers in the world since his move from Atletico Madrid. The 26-year-old, who has been courted by Spanish giants Real Madrid in the past, is part of a very important three-man Spanish contingent at United.
Along with Mata and Ander Herrera, United’s ‘Amigos’ have firmly established themselves as fan favourites during their time at Old Trafford. Mata, who was a popular figure at previous club Chelsea, arrived in January 2014 while Herrera made the move from Athletic Bilbao to United in August 2014.
United’s team trained on Monday in high spirits ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash with Benfica on Tuesday and understandably so. The Red Devils are topping their group with three wins from three and should they beat the Eagles at Old Trafford, qualification to the knockout stages is virtually assured.
Their domestic campaign began brightly, with United topping the league at one stage but have since fallen off the pace with a draw at Liverpool and a shock defeat at Premier League newcomers Huddersfield Town.
They did, however, beat an in-form Tottenham Hotspur side on Saturday to get back on track and after their tie with Benfcia, Jose Mourinho’s men travel to London to take on Chelsea in the final club game before the last international break of the year ensues.
