Premier League clubs approve changes to associated party transaction rules
The proposed changes came into play after an independent tribunal found some aspects of the APT rules to be unlawful following Manchester City’s lawsuit.

Injured Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has given fans hope that he will be fit in time for the club’s October 14 clash with Crystal Palace. The Spanish football federation on Monday revealed that the striker suffered a Grade II tear to his hamstring.
Morata suffered the injury during Chelsea’s 1-0 loss to Manchester City on Saturday and while Antonio Conte calmed fears by saying he took the striker off as a precautionary measure, the Spanish federation’s report pegged Morata’s return around mid-November.
Interestingly, Morata edited his caption to the Instgram image he posted earlier. The striker had added Crystal Palace in his caption, but removed it later, simply reading: “I have no time to lose! Working hard towards recovery!😁”
Usually, Grade II injuries take between six-eight weeks to fully heal which would mean Morata would definitely miss Chelsea’ double Champions League header with Serie A side Roma and a crunch Premier League tie with leaders Manchester United.
The club-record signing had hit the ground running since his £60 million move with seven goals from nine games, including a memorable hat-trick against Stoke City in September.
And with Michy Batshuayi the only other recognised striker in the Blues’ squad, the capital club are in for a tough time if Morata were to be out of action for the entire month of October.
