Delhi shines bright with Christmas cheer
Delhi came alive on Christmas as vibrant lights and festive decorations illuminated the city on Wednesday.
As India’s old-timer paceman Ashish Nehra is set to bid adieu to the international cricket in the T20I against India at his home ground Feroz Shah Kotla, captain Virat Kohli hailed the 38-year-old calling him a ‘great servant for Indian cricket’.
“Ashish Nehra is playing. He has been a great servant for Indian cricket. He’s one of the smartest guys I have played with,” Kohli said after the toss on Wednesday.

“A true gentleman. Always willing to help the young guys in the team. It’s sad to see him go,” the Indian skipper added.

Delhi-born pacer, Nehra played international cricket for two decades. In his 18-year-long career, he went through 12 surgeries and was captained by as many as seven captains.
Having started his journey under the captaincy of Mohammad Azharuddin, Nehra will conclude his career under captain Kohli.
Earlier in the day, Nehra was presented with a memento by Team India for his remarkable contribution to Indian cricket.
