Kerala govt suspends two IAS officers on disciplinary grounds
The Kerala government on Monday suspended two officers of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) on disciplinary grounds.
Mobile internet services were suspended for 24 hours and prohibitory orders issued in the district as a precautionary measure in view of an information that there was a possibility of disturbance of communal harmony.
Bhawani Singh Detha, Divisional Commissioner, Udaipur, issued the order, suspending mobile internet services for 24 hours from last night, while Collector Vishnu Charan issued the prohibitory orders, which will be effective until further orders.
The decisions were taken in view of an information that there was a possibility of disturbance of communal harmony in the district due to the visit a fringe Hindutva group leader to meet people in connection with the recent gruesome killing of a migrant labourer in the neighboring district of Rajsamand.
