Good Governance Award Scheme by Haryana to recognize outstanding public service
The state government has notified the ‘Haryana Good Governance Award Scheme 2024’ (Haryana Sushaasan Puraskaar Yojana 2024).
In order to prevent people from facing any inconvenience, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has directed the Social Justice and Empowerment Department to review the rules regarding fixation of age for providing benefits under the old age pension scheme.
While reviewing the progress of various development works, Khattar also directed the officers that all the projects being implemented for the welfare of the people shall be completed on priority basis.
The chief minister also stressed on the need for making the official records as well as the services of the department online stating that it would help in keeping a tab on corruption.

He also directed the officers to work towards increasing the standard of education as this would be in the interest of the younger generation.
Since the population of village Kundli in the district has exceeded one lakh and residential area adjoining the village has also been increased to a large extent, it would be accorded the status of Municipal Committee, the chief minister said.
People residing in the nearby area would be provided facilities at par with the urban areas, Khattar added.
He also directed the officers of Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) to set up a new sub-station in Kundli Industrial area so as to resolve the problem of power connections.
Further, Khattar directed the officers to include villages having population of over 10,000 under the ‘Mahagram Yojna’ and also ensure their development.
In order to ensure this, he asked them to prepare a comprehensive scheme so that people could get better facilities.
Khattar said that the government has adopted the policy of zero tolerance against corruption and directed the officers to take immediate and stern action in cases of corruption.
He also directed the officers to encourage the people to adopt ‘Mahra Gaon Jagmag Gaon’ scheme.
He also said that power supply at three feeders namely Teha, Sargathal and Bilandpur would be increased from 18 hours to 24 hours.
